OUR PASTOR

Rev. Pastor Jeffery Williams

Lead Pastor

Jeffery Alphonso Williams was born to the late Jeff Williams and Bettie Williams on October 20, 1971, in San Francisco, California. Jeffery’s musical abilities were evident at an early age. He studied classical music and mastered his music studies to become an accomplished musician, psalmist, vocal coach, and choir trainer.  Versed in the genres of jazz, traditional and contemporary gospel music, he is committed to music excellence. That commitment has made him a music influencer nationally and internationally in Japan, Sweden, Denmark, and Australia, to name a few. His abilities have caused him to perform with the San Francisco Symphony in their soulful Christmas presentation, “Colors of Christmas,” working with artists, Natalie Cole, Peabo Bryson, Oleta Adams, James Ingram, Dionne Warwick, Roberta Flack, Aaron Neville, and Patti Austin.

He co-produced several Bay Area artists' projects, including Olivet Oakland “Sunday Night Live”, Eugene Cole, Peace Gospel Choir, and the Peniel Baptist Church Choir composing or arranging many songs on these projects. He recently released his arrangement of “Let’s Lift Jesus” composed by his pastor and brother-in-law, Pastor Gregory Hunter.

Jeffery also committed his life to Christ at an early age. His constant pursuit of God led him to accept his call to ministry in 1994 under the pastorate of the late Bishop Gordon A. Humphrey Jr. of the Olivet Institutional Missionary Baptist Church (Oakland, California) and preached his first sermon in October of that year. Ordained Elder in July 2001, Pastor Jeff (as he is affectionately called) has served as Assistant Pastor of Celebration Worship Center (Oakland, California), youth bible study teacher at Allen Temple Baptist Church (Oakland, California), served as Assistant Pastor at the Olivet Institutional Missionary Baptist Church (Oakland, California) and he also serves as Minister of Music for First African Methodist Episcopal Church (FAME) (Oakland, California). Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Pastor Jeff and First Lady Tajah Williams have founded “The Reconditioned Church” (Tracy, California).

He is a former member of the Youth Board of Directors of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) founded by the late Rev. James Cleveland. He was privileged to share ministry with Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark–Cole, the late Bishop Walter L., and Edwin Hawkins, LaShun Pace, Bobby Jones, and Evangelist Beverly Crawford.

Pastor Jeff has been married to his lovely wife, Tajah Williams for 27 years and is the father of two boys: Jayvyn and Jeryn, and one daughter, Jaylah.

Pastor Jeff is excited about what God is doing in the life of his family, church, and ministry.  He often states, “This is the season of more and open doors for the saints.”

“WE HAVE THE FAVOR OF GOD BECAUSE WE FAVOR GOD!” (We’re made in his image).
